Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Introduction

Awase ("Awase," "we," "us," or "our") provides a calendar workspace that lets you import Google Calendar data, collaborate with assistants, and share bookable availability. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Account information: When you sign in, we receive your email address and basic profile details from your authentication provider (magic link email or Google sign-in).
  • Google Calendar data: If you connect Google Calendar, we access calendar metadata and events using the read-only Google Calendar scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly) you authorize. This includes calendar names, event titles, times, descriptions, locations, attendee details, and recurrence information needed to display and sync your schedule. We do not request write, delete, or Gmail scopes.
  • Workspace and profile data: Information you provide such as your display name, timezone, workspace name, calendar colors, tags, privacy settings, and share-page profile details.
  • Booking and sharing data: When someone books time through your shared availability link, we collect the information submitted in the booking form (such as name and email) and create calendar events on your behalf.
  • Usage and technical data: Standard server logs, device/browser information, and cookies used to keep you signed in and operate the service securely.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Awase.
  • Import, display, and keep your Google Calendar data in sync.
  • Apply your privacy settings, including redacting private events for assistants and shared viewers.
  • Enable team collaboration, invitations, and shared availability links.
  • Send transactional emails such as sign-in links, invitations, and booking confirmations.
  • Protect the service, investigate abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the application. We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions, or any other purpose prohibited by Google's Limited Use requirements.

Google user data and Limited Use

Awase's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs (including Google Calendar) will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we use Google Calendar data only to provide calendar features you request (import, sync, display, privacy filtering, assistant collaboration, and shared availability). We do not:

  • Sell Google user data.
  • Use Google user data for advertising, including personalized, interest-based, or retargeting advertising.
  • Transfer Google user data to data brokers, advertising platforms, or information resellers.
  • Transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide or improve user-facing features (for example, infrastructure processors acting on our behalf), for security purposes, to comply with law, or with your affirmative consent.
  • Allow humans to read Google user data except when necessary to provide the service, investigate abuse or security issues, comply with law, or with your explicit permission.
  • Use raw or aggregated/anonymized Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI and/or ML models. We also do not transfer Google user data to third-party AI/ML services for those parties to train their models.

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your dashboard. Disconnecting stops future syncs and revokes our access to your Google account through the OAuth connection.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these cases:

  • With people you choose: Assistants in your workspace and visitors to your shared links see only the calendar information your privacy settings allow.
  • With service providers: We use infrastructure and service providers (such as hosting, database, email delivery, and authentication services) that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. These processors may handle Google Calendar data only to operate Awase for you.
  • For legal reasons: When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable Google Limited Use restrictions.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account and calendar data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.

  • Disconnect Google: We stop syncing, revoke the OAuth connection where possible, and delete or anonymize stored Google Calendar event data associated with that connection within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where retention is required by law or needed to resolve disputes or security incidents.
  • Delete your account: We delete or anonymize your account, workspace content, and associated Google Calendar data within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), subject to the same legal exceptions.
  • Request deletion: You may also email hello.webdev@dsbureau.co to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and encryption of sensitive credentials such as Google refresh tokens at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • Update profile and workspace settings in your dashboard.
  • Control calendar and event privacy defaults and overrides.
  • Disconnect Google Calendar or sign out at any time.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Children

Awase is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when changes are posted. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
