How to Share Your Availability Online (Without the Email Chain)

Awase offers two share link types — View only and Bookable — both synced from Google Calendar with privacy controls.

Sharing availability online should mean one URL that stays accurate when your Google Calendar changes — not a screenshot that expires before lunch.

Real-world example

A consultant stops pasting "I'm free Tue 2–4 or Wed 10–12" into email. They create a View only Awase link for a referral partner (see open windows, no booking) and a separate Bookable link for new clients (pick "Discovery call" → request slot → consultant approves → confirmation email). Same Google calendars feed both; rules differ per link.

View only: coordination without booking

Use when someone needs to see your open time but should not self-book — a referral partner, an EA planning around you, a client in a high-touch sales process.

The share page lists availability computed from imported Google events, your weekly rules, and per-link privacy settings. No Awase account required to view.

Bookable: client requests a slot

Use for intro calls, sessions, or support windows. The client picks a booking type (duration and rules you defined under Availability), chooses an open slot, submits name and email, and receives "Request received — we'll confirm by email."

The booking stays Pending until you or an assistant with Approve bookings permission accepts it. Then the client gets confirmation with ICS. This is not Calendly-style instant confirmation — it is review-first.

Filter by calendar tags

If you tag calendars in Awase (e.g. "Client A work" vs "Internal"), you can include only certain tags on a given link. Useful when one audience should not inherit availability from every imported calendar.

What still fails

Screenshots, copied slots, and Doodle polls when the client could use a synced link.

Sharing full Google Calendar access because it was faster than configuring a link.

Quick answers

Do viewers need an Awase account?

No. Anyone with the `/share/your-slug` URL can view or request a booking.

Does the link update when Google Calendar changes?

Yes — Awase syncs imported calendars (default window: six months past and six months forward, configurable). New holds and cancellations affect open slots without you editing the link.

Worth trying on your actual calendar

Reading about private availability sharing is one thing. Connecting your Google calendars and sending a test link is the part that usually clicks.
